"My February Journey: Broadening My Skills and Responsibilities at PSA"
As my On-the-Job Training at the Philippine Statistics Authority progressed into February, I experienced a noticeable shift from basic administrative tasks to more comprehensive responsibilities that challenged me to grow professionally. I became more confident in handling document processing and data encoding, as accuracy and efficiency became second nature in my daily tasks. I was entrusted with more complex assignments such as verifying civil registry records, assisting clients with detailed inquiries, and ensuring that all documents adhered to PSA’s standards and guidelines.
Working closely with the BREQS Office became a significant part of my February journey. I actively supported clients requesting vital documents such as birth, marriage, and death certificates, as well as Certificates of No Marriage (CENOMAR). Through these tasks, I gained a deeper appreciation of the importance of government-issued records in people’s lives and the value of providing excellent public service.
This month also presented opportunities to sharpen my communication and problem-solving skills, particularly when interacting with clients who had concerns or encountered issues in their applications. Each situation taught me how to remain calm, approachable, and solution-oriented. I learned how to manage time more effectively, multitask, and prioritize tasks without compromising the quality of my work.
Overall, my February experience at PSA was marked by continuous learning and professional development. It taught me the importance of adaptability, precision, and empathy in public service. More than just gaining technical knowledge, I grew as a person—ready to face greater responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to any organization I may be part of in the future.
